I've added a couple features to conda-metadata-app.streamlit.app. 1️⃣ If you check "Show dependencies as rich table" you'll get hyperlinked package names with separate columns for version and build strings. 2️⃣ The "Download artifact" link now reports the total size of the package.

I've seen a lot of Python folks getting super excited about `uv run --with ....` and I get it now. In @conda.org world, you can do the same with @prefix.dev Pixi! A colleague wanted me to debug something with PyArrow on my system and all I had to do was: ``` $ pixi exec -s pyarrow python ``` 🤯

Bluesky's username verification using domain names made me think of my old blog again. To my surprise, that thing still works four years later. Lucky me Hugo is distributed as a single binary. Maybe I'm too scarred by Python packaging, so it's very refreshing when a tool Just Works.

The DELL U4025QW is amazing but macOS would refuse to enable the volume controls on its audio output. I was using BetterDisplay in the meantime, but I want to use my (physical?) keys! Turns out github.com/briankendall... was created for exactly that purpose! ⭐ Brian, you legend!

I don't like many things about the conda CLI application. One of them: how it messes with your `~/.bashrc`. It should just change `$PATH` and that's it. `pixi shell` does it better, with fresh processes. And now you can do it in `conda` too! Check my new experiment! github.com/jaimergp/con...
