QOTD: What's your favorite single-year only (in a specific market) available car?

Kinda miss my old project GSL-SE today. It needed a LOT of help, and I was only a few months in before I had to sell to cover the cost of repairs to a rental property. 😢 My dream FB is actually 12A-powered *but* it was pretty cool to pop the hood and see the "RE-EGI" plenum staring back at me. 👍

My dad traded in one just like this during the Cash-for-Clunkers program, a fact that still makes me sad to remember. 😢 Magnificent machines.

Breezy documentary about TNG's rough first couple of years, and in particular, Gene Roddenberry's involvement and how the tone & focus of the show were very much an extension of his worldview at the time. The AI-generated (?) graphics are a little off-putting, though—and unnecessary. 😕 #startrek

An example of one of the little puzzles to solve as part of the build: The OEM wiring has harnesses for each door that connect to the main harness at the door jam. To run wiring for the door speaker, I dremeled a slot in the connector and threaded the wires thru the rubber "elephant trunk." Fun! 🔧

As much as it grates that outfits like Starbucks call them "chocolate croissants" instead of what they actually are—pain-au-chocolat—I get it; it'd be a little awkward to sidle up to the counter and order pain. 😅

13 hours (with small breaks) later... It's amazing how well this trilogy holds up, even after 2 decades. I'm not a binge-watcher at all, so maybe viewing an entire multi-film series or short-run show will become a yearly tradition on the 1st. 'Twas fun.

Small update: I realized the wires from the amp should be to the crossovers, not to the mids like I had initially drawn. Amp, sub, sub box, and speaker grill (for the sub) ordered! Just need to figure which gauge/quality wires to get for everything... #caraudio

Endeavoring to complete the James Bond catalog, I watched Thunderball in its entirety last night. It was interminably dull. Bond travels to exactly 1 foreign locale (Nassau), the villain's scheme is straightforward and boring, and the action scenes could easily be chopped in half. 👎 Etc.

Neat set. Remarks from a Concorde nut: 1. Would be nice to have landing gear doors. 😕 2. This is probably F-WTSA (102). Development livery, final production shape, BUT the early non-"eyelid" engine nozzles. 3. Not sure why the window gap. No decals for doors? One would go there.

My mom is clearing out her house's under-eave storage space, and found a collection of these to return to me. Back in the day, the crew used to make these maps and affix them to a bulkhead between classes, or in the galley area. When disembarking, I'd always ask if I could have it. #avgeek
