I was privileged to go with #WestMidlandsRingingGroup to check on the nests of some Red Kite chicks in Worcestershire at the weekend. We found 8 healthy chicks in 3 nests and they were all checked and ringed under a Schedule 1 licence. What a bird!

This weekend we started bird ringing at Venus Pool Reserve (Shropshire), for the first time in a very long while, with SOS and #WestMidlandsRingingGroup. We found some stunning birds and the Cetti’s Warbler was a definite highlight. Birds ringed under permit. #ShropshireBirding
