One of those nights where I just feel shame and self-hate just for being me. All my worst fears and anxieties about myself proven true, and I just have to sit and except that my lot in life is to be someone's punching bag no matter where I go or what I do, because it's the only thing I'm good at.

I think uh... maybe my least favorite thing about game dev is refactoring old code. Feels like you're taking something that kinda works, and just taking a giant wrecking ball to smash it up. I hate it and I'm always scared to do it. But I know it needs to be done to build something better.

Interesting trend I noticed in regard to how different types of people post: When a real artist posts their work, there tends to be a lot of variety. Drawing the same thing over and over gets boring, so they'll mix it up to keep things fun even if they tend to stick to one character or subject.

Good Question! Normally Maya gets knocked down when a cloud guard swings at her. But when she's inflated, their attacks will just bump her away harmlessly. They can't actually hurt her with their blunt batons, but in her inflated state she can't do much to them either.

Making a game is so tiring lol Here's an early look at the first enemy being added to Maya's Big Adventure. He's a guard made out of clouds that patrols a set area: after defeating him he leaves his body armor behind, and Maya can use it as a projectile to take out more enemies.

Been working on a trailer for Maya's Big Adventure, posting to see if anyone out there would be willing to help out on short notice. I'm about 40% through with it, but it's also literally my first time video editing, so any help or advice from someone more experienced would be greatly appreciated.

So, it is now official: I've made a new game! It's more of a tech demo I guess, I'm calling it Maya's Playbox. It'll be playable for the first time at SizeCon 2026! I'll share more info and a Patreon exclusive build of the game in the first week of April, and some time after that it'll go public.
