Happy to spot this beauty in the garden this morning. Weather feeling much milder today but I’m feeling quite tired.

My Mother in Law is coming to stay with us for 3 weeks in May. Wonderful excuse to suddenly get an awful lot of things done around the house. 😄 We’re making a list, setting deadlines & priorities, researching paints, grouts, sealants etc. Strange how happy DIY makes the two of us. 😄

Better luck next time. 😄 Went to Grainger Market to support a new shop but the queue was so long our parking ran out before we even moved at all. Glad they’re doing so well. Looks delicious!

We have blue skies and sunshine. Perfect morning for a swim in the North Sea. Water temp 6°C, air temp 0°C.

What a muddy, wet walk!! At least I got to see some charming Bullfinches and glorious Greenfinches. Baths and showers all round. Wrapped up warm and ready for the day ahead. Happy Thursday!

Croffles (croissant + waffle) have been achieved..filled with bacon, brie & cranberry. No, I’m not going to be skinny anytime soon. 🤷‍♀️

My squishy bunny nightlight needed new batteries, Lola had to double check to make sure it’s working properly again.

Had a craving so we just popped round to a local dessert parlour for some caramel slices. Very grateful they stay open so late. Happy Friday! 😁

Tried making this Persian-style Saffron Chicken Rice traybake with cardamom, pistachios and pomegranate tonight. It was absolutely wonderful. No coriander leaves for me though - tastes like soap to me.

No going out today. Struggling with vertigo, headaches and bone tiredness. It’s also freezing cold out there! 🥶 Might have a daytime bath, appreciating my bathroom houseplants. Hope your day is going well.

What a weird night. Dreamed I was racing down an extremely steep hill in a street luge (had to go look up what it’s called), trying to evade clothed cats (think Victorian, monocles, bowler hats & moustaches), running on their hind legs, shooting at me with poisoned blow darts.
