Token standards appear easy but are nearly impossible. It took meticulous attention to detail across the Ethereum org to create ERC-20. And then there's the whole adoption challenge! The website now showcases work from @vitalik.ca, Fabian Vogelsteller, Gavin Wood, and @simondlr.com.

Fun fact: The first Ethereum wallet was called Mist. Here is a picture of Alex Van de Sande presenting the Mist, the Ethereum Browser, in 11/2015, alongside @vitalik.ca, Gavin Wood, and Joseph Lubin at Devcon1.
