Preparing for another hard day

Power is out at home today, so I'm off to the local shops to work. Trustly little travel router, running off a battery pack, and it's like the home network is still up

Today I used GitHub Copilot to vibe up a design refresh on my blog (including dark mode), determine why it wouldn't deploy, had it remove 400mb of XML files I didn't need, create a script that'll compress images (saving another 60mb), and updating the GitHub Actions to run the script!

Despite not having blogged at all this year, I've decided to do some work on my website. First thing I've found is that I can't deploy it to SWA anymore, apparently my blog is nearly 700mb of static files! Why? Well, it turns out that every single tag publishes a HTML file and RSS XML file 🤦

And it looks like my @xunit.net upgrade is on hold - one of the loggers I use to output to GitHub Actions and report failures doesn't support MTP yet so we'd end up with a degraded CI reporting experience.

Because I'm a sucker for punishment I decided to not only update the Aspire Comumnity Toolkit to .NET 10, but also do an @xunit.net v3 upgrade at the same time. What could go wrong...

I've been looking at a failing test run on CI for the past like hour, trying to replicate it locally without much success, only to eventually notice that all tests passed and it was the test runner that crashed 🤦

Toying with a multi-colour print while editing an existing design, initially attempt is a 17hour print with 480 filament changes. Switching to multi-plate printing and a few orientation tweaks, 3.5hours (plus plate swapping). That's probably better 🤣
