This doesn't just go for fursonas and personas imo. Always ask consent for any character that isn't yours. A lot of artists are very attached to multiple OCs and put aspects of themselves in some, while not seeing them as a sona. ALWAYS ask consent when you involve someone's OC that isn't yours.
