Volunteer Plant! 🌱🪴 I love Nasturtiums - my (great) Granny Peggy used to have them on her bedroom window. This one just appeared in this pot and we know that it wasn't planted there.

Looking out the window a minute ago as a bat swoops past and flies off round the side of the house. At the same time a fox is running through the field across the road. It's like The Animals of Farthing Wood out there tonight.

I have some petunias to pot and been looking for a whale shaped plant pot - as a wee Hitchhikers Guide reference. Found one that looks cute and is the perfect size - I'm just not sure I can bring myself to purchase from a company called "Live, Laugh, Love"

Interesting thing I learned tonight - our replacement hips are halal. Might be useful information for people currently in pain.

On the way home from the barber, I thought it would be a pleasant, fairly flat, walk back through the park - I didn't consider a sudden monsoon. 🌪

Husbands date night!

My work laptop today: "help! I'm running out of space! " Also my work laptop: "are you really sure you want to empty your trash folder? I've been hanging onto these things since 2022 just in case you need them!"

So, either my pants are shrinking or my thighs are getting bigger. It's totally the thighs due to increased exercise after a year of very restricted mobility. So, will this be my Thick Thighs Summer?

Today was an office day. Meetings, meetings, meetings - productive only in that there was lots of chatting and catching up. More productive activity will resume from home tomorrow.

New profile picture. One of the first proper dog walks I managed recently after the hip replacement. Made even better by the fact that this is the top of the hill on the golf course at the end of our street. Not a bad view for a milestone.

I've watched The Magicians about seven times and every time I know we'll get to the end of season four. After Quentin dies and his friends are sitting by the campfire and start singing Take On Me, I tell myself I'll hold it together this time. I never do. Tears before the first chorus. 😭💔
