Big fan of this very hopeful speech. I know Cory is all over the internet, but this is worth a watch. My concern after listening is that we've created systems of bureaucracy that have rewarded leaders who stand for nothing and work tirelessly to maintain the status quo. How do we change that?

This really resonated with me. For someone with a few quirks and had a hard time fitting in, the internet really was quite a pleasant place to meet and engage. These days, it feels like I'm exploring a ghost town. Constantly trying to figure out where all the people went.

I suppose it was only a matter of time before CAs were a target of amalgamation. Here in action we see the neoliberal imperative that effective governance structures must be diluted or destroyed.

If AI companies can claim to have unlimited access to copywritten works to redistribute the contents, I see no reason why the same logic shouldn't apply to libraries.
