Checked in with Beige Grizzly. The retirement home has generators so he might be mildly inconvenienced when he can’t use his Keurig, but he’ll be okay. He’s more worried about me. He doesn’t need to be, so I had to assure him that I have provisions and lantern batteries.

CZ Action News Couch report: For Peterborough city and county residents, the freezing rain is supposed to begin at 2 PM. Anticipate roads, especially side roads and residential streets, to be utter crap for driving and walking. Plan to stay in. Charge all the things! Have spare batteries ready!

*Puts on Emergency Management Hat* Alright, crew. We’re expecting a freezing rain event followed by more 🤬ing snow. Keep in mind: STAY TF HOME. Yes, it’s starting in the evening here, but plan to be home when it hits. DO NOT put a fuelled heat/cook source in an enclosed space. It needs fresh air.
