I find it odd how few people seem to recognize the parallels between abusive partnerships and authoritarian regimes. Isolation, gaslighting, victim blaming, forced codependency, various forms of other abuse, it's all there, it's just between groups instead of individuals.

If you aren't deeply ashamed, disturbed, and infuriated by what's happening, you're part of the problem. The fact that anyone is acting like this isn't an absolute nightmare after they handcuffed a child with cancer and pointed a gun at them, means you are part of the problem.

If you can stomach it, I suggest everyone go watch some video of what the allies found when they freed concentration camps at the end of WW2. That's what we're fighting against here. Show some fucking urgency.
