Meeting with the Neuro dept today to talk about the various ways palliative care can support both them and their patients. Feeling a twinge in my 💚. Prepping this talk has me thinking about my friend, Dr. Tara Cook, who's passing in '21 was such a loss to neuropalliative care.

More nervous about today's newspaper interview than I was about last week's radio interview, despite the fact that this is my third time being interviewed by this reporter.

Some thoughts...

Dude, I love Dr. Rubenstein so, so much. His videos alway capture my heart song. This battle never ends. I'm presenting to Neuro next week on how we should be working together to support patients. Do better, non-PC colleagues. Your patients deserve it.

I haven't always loved the way AAHPM has treated its relationship with us HAPC social workers, but I really appreciate the language about interdisciplinary training programs and the use of "hospice and palliative professionals". Very inclusionary.
