First day back at the gym after months away for family health reasons. Hoping to get back into the groove so I can be one of those 'hot horror writers.' Or, you know, so I can live a longer, happier, healthier life. Either one is fine.

I tried the first episode of Wayward and found the social anachronisms entirely too distracting. I'm not sure why they didn't just set the show in the present day (and I likely won't find out). Of course, if there's time wonkiness as part of the plot, then cool. But that's not what 2003 was like.

For me, writing is something like working metal. I get a general shape, then see how it fits with the next piece, and then I move back and forth between them, hammering each until it comes together. It is a slow process of working and reworking the same parts over and over. #writing #horror
