When I first heard tracks from this one with its shift in tone, style, volume, and amount of riffage I was highly skeptical. Have to say it delivers hard, and is maybe even better than the previous solo record.

Jeff Mangum really did the Neutral Milk Hotel comeback thing just right. Ramped it up with some solo gigs, which I saw, played all the big spots and got all the top billing he deserved, which I saw. Then he played everywhere else for like 3 years, and finally went away again. No new songs.

Open Newbury Street is such a beautiful thing and really makes me love Boston. It feels so vibrant and full of people. Saw a New Orleans style jazz band, had a cookie, and my dog met lots of other dogs.

Feed is already full of old images and gifs of Redford. RIP to one of the best. All those movies y’all are referencing are great, don’t get me wrong, but please also remember that Redford was amazing until the end. The Old Man and the Gun is basically a perfect movie and so much fun to watch.
