I've been streaming music chronologically for some time, and it's really interesting to hear how music gradually changes over the years. My main observation as the early 80's moves to the mid 80's is that electric drum sounds are less "Bow!" & more "Dooov!".

Just listening to "This Is Spinal Tap". What I like with this album is they play everything completely straight, without any obvious comedy. I've heard genuine rock albums with lyrics just as preposterous as the ones on this album!

Where used as a noun, you can replace the word "love" with "death" in any song to turn it into a Doom Metal song. e.g. "Death is all around" "Caravan of Death" "Death Train"

Why are heavy metal sub-genres always things like "Death Metal" "Doom Metal" or "Black Metal"? Why not change the minor chords to major & have "Happy Metal" "Fun Metal" & "Fluffy Metal"? 🎸😍

I'm currently working on an orchestral / electric guitar piece & have had the great idea of converting my guitar audio into MIDI, so that I can arrange the orchestra (all colour coded) around it & avoid clashes with the guitar part. It also looks quite pretty!

When watching a film on Freeview, there's always a little channel logo in the corner, sometimes a pop-up saying what's coming up next, & then sudden jumps to adverts at inappropriate moments. Basically saying "if you're too tight to pay for films you'll have to put up with all these annoyances!".

When I got my GCSE exam results 30 odd years ago, they were sent through the post. I looked at them & they were OK so I showed my mum & dad who said they were OK. We didn't cry & hug & there wasn't a TV crew present. I don't know why they have to go through that rigmarole nowadays.
