I wrote a short screenplay for the first round of a writing challenge I like to compete in each year. This year, I woke up to this delightful email. Can’t wait for round two!

I asked my 2yo son if he knows what we’re doing for Easter and he said “I will eat the Easter Bunny.”

I don’t know if this means anything but I’d like all my trans friends to know that the UK Supreme Court doesn’t speak for me. Like, at all.

I just woke from a dream wherein I made a joke that went something like this: “What’s the point of sardines? You may as well just have a tiny tuna!” ???????

Whenever it gets above 12 degrees C in the UK, we do this: *Dadbod optional but encouraged*

Crazy to me that they just went ahead and called an animal ‘sperm whale’ and we were all just cool with it.

One time we got a letter that must have been sent to the wrong place and it was addressed to a ‘Mrs Melville’, so on a whim I held it out to my dog Polly and said “Oh this one must be for you”… that was over 2 years ago and now we just refer to her as Mrs Melville all the time.

I want to start playing in a new D&D campaign.

Every time I see layoffs in this industry it surprises me. I don’t know why at this point, because there have been so fucking many. I think it’s a mixture of hoping for better and shock at the sheer volume of amazing talent that’s being taken for granted. Let’s look out for each other, gamedevs x

I had such a blast at Guildford Games Festival talking to aspiring writers and passionate game devs, as well as sitting down for some one-to-one portfolio reviews. Truly one of those days that reminded me why I love what I do. #gamedev #gamewriting

Thoughts on turning 35: 1) Cardigans are cool. 2) You’re never too old to start improving yourself (e.g. wearing a cardigan). 3) You’re all beautiful and I’m lucky we exist at the same time (as cardigans). 4) I got a new cardigan for my birthday.
