How can any sane person negotiate a budget deal knowing Trump will just violate the deal even if that breaks the law?

If Republicans really didn’t read or watch Trump’s unhinged statements as much as they claim, don’t you think Trump would be loudly whining about them having the nerve to ignore his many pronouncements?

Democrats—announce publicly wall collaborators with this regime will be promptly and harshly dealt with when you next take power. It’ll give some of them pause, and will make clear to the public just how serious Trump’s criminality is.

It’s kind of crazy that Republicans didn’t just say “fine, we’ll restore the health care funds”, get Democrats to vote for the budget, knowing Trump would just break the law and not spend it just as he did all year long.

I dint think you could explain to a space alien why the richest most powerful country on earth is unable to provide its citizens universal healthcare but sends funds to other countries that do provide their own citizens with universal healthcare.

What’s different about this shutdown is this is the first time it happened with a party holding the trifecta of both houses of Congress plus the White House. Republicans own this one completely. Make the media acknowledge this.

The public won’t understand why a party that controls no part of Congress is to blame for a shutdown, so hammer home that Republicans are doing this as a follow up to “DOGE” because they don’t want government to function.

Republicans will shut down the government rather than release the Epstein files that feature Trump all over them. There’s your message, Democrats.
