world's easiest year in review about my creative output: i released one story this year. i also loved it from march onwards i wanted to aim at pushing the scope further than the last text game and doing like, a full game. of some sorts. there were some godot captures ages ago! the ideas were murky

I didn't make too much of a buzz about it but 2025 was my "YEAR OF PROJECTS," a full year I dedicated to larger-scope things that were way more ambitious than my usual fare of casual short story writing. And it went very well!!

new year's resolution: make people who are down bad for hypnotic snakes even worse about it

"blank" gets used often but the word is just so good. blank like a canvas for someone to paint on and fill. blank in a literal and metaphorical sense; expression, thoughts. blank and compliant and entirely empty, which means the first thing said becomes the foundation for everything else.

all of the "foxes do x and deserve y" posts are probably gonna be internalized in my brain to where i go "imagine pride as [something else that isn't a fox or snake]" and i get oneshot by countless days of self conditioning

like trying to understand a cat's emotion by their tail but you have to wonder if a fox is just idle and elegant, playfully teasing you into a slight stupor, actively distracting and taking ownership of your attention, or completely wiping away your mind for their amusement

i went mad with power and added "implicitly hypnotic swaying tails" and "captivating" and "persuasive" to inherent traits. you can thank me later, that usually happens after getting tricked

taking my marker and writing "immediately trustworthy" next to "tricksters" in the folklore book of knowledge for foxes now that it's there, you'll just believe me at my word those two things totally coexist perfectly.

one of the biggest gripes in the plumbing work for the last story (the interactive one) was that, i never really made any useful debugging tools. i didn't actually have a "skip to chapter" written so i had to mash through everything to see new changes, including the user-typing segment

someone put the idea of "having a mask placed on your face that left you with an overwhelming clarity of thought, only to find out there was nothing underneath the mask anymore" in my mind and it's been stuck there.

passed out immediately after thinking this, woke up mushy-smile fantasizing about the hypnosis/brainwashing that makes you less of a person and more of a thing

nothing hits quite like teasing someone about the impending anticipation that they -could be- taken under and toyed with, using conditioning left in from the last couple sessions, just nudging them into place about a topic that's been the focus for a while, all while awake and aware of the dance.

i swear every time i get on the subject-end of a mood, everyone pounces and only drives that thought in deeper and deeper and further in my suggestible head until it's rooted there. glad to know being told your preferences still works on me

conversations that haven't yet veered into it, where you're always somewhat aware you're a snap away from being completely derailed into drooling over them, but it's a precarious balance, because it hasn't switched tone -- but it could. you're still brainwashed, but they haven't acted on it. yet.

anyway, on brainwashing, it's hard to not think the hottest fucking thing in the world is when someone gets their teeth in you and you wake up fixated on them, "devotion" being the operant word; aware enough to rationalize just how much you're going to be drooling over them now, enraptured.

re: prior frustration with ai and uninspired slop, i love what people are doing in the kink/fetish spaces purely because you -know- they're out there fixated on something that's personal and has a vision, because it's the sort of thing that scratches a specific itch. it's niche in a great way.

me ranting about hating ai and being pretentious about media is probably the least surprising thing on the planet and far more people have already said it better than i but sometimes i want to shout into the void and express just how much i despise all things related to it

well-trodden point by now but i find it hard to wrap my head around the defense of gen ai being "filler content" and "unimportant dialogue" when i would consider the presence of something simultaneously extraneous and adding nothing to either the overarching plot or the characters to just be a flaw
