we had the memorial mass for josh’s dad today. it was a really nice service, and it was an overall good day full of laughs and reminiscing. my parents finally got to meet josh’s mom too and they all get along well, so that’s an added bonus

i think my fever is FINALLY gone once and for all?? i haven’t had one since like 9 last night, so if it comes back i will be very mad

of course i schedule an out of network express care appointment because i’ve had this fever for a week and last night it hit 103 again, only to not have one hours after my meds wore off

okay i know medical companies have to make liquid meds taste horrible but whoever approved liquid dayquil to be…what it is… i hope they step on a couple lego

of course i have a surprise cough while inhaling water to swallow a fucking massive dayquil and in about .25 seconds i turn into a geyser and launch the pill back out of my throat, turning it into a projectile weapon

well, at least my fever was gone for like 12 hours today before it came back again 🫠

of course the day i finally have my fever break for 8 hours and i have some energy, i start losing my voice, and then josh gets a fever himself with the same kind of cough i had a few days ago we’re both so over being ill

i think the hardest part of this whole sick period that josh and i are both in right now is the fact that for almost a week now we’ve had pretty separate lives in the same house, and our favorite thing to do is to spend time together

my cough has gotten significantly worse, now josh is starting to feel sick, we have like no food in the house at all from the fridge/freezer shitting the bed for a day, the part josh needs to fix the ac won’t be here until tuesday we’ve been totally exhausted for over a week, needless to say

lol of course the day i’ve had the most issues with whatever sickness i picked up at the hospital or ac shits the bed

my fever i’ve had since wednesday breaks every 3-4 hours, and then it spikes back up again and i am miserable!! i feel like i’m having constant hot flashes

josh’s dad passed away peacefully tonight, hours after getting transferred to josh’s sister’s home. my hiatus will continue at least through next week

my body temp runs low on average, so when i have a triple digit fever, it’s usually not a good sign ps i have a triple digit fever

finding out one of my favorite book series from childhood is FINALLY having its adaptation m released in october is such good news for me specifically to find out during these past few days

we were told today that josh’s dad has maybe a week left, and that’s a very generous estimate. it’s been a very very hard weekend.

monday’s bday stream plans have to be unfortunately shelved. josh’s dad has been battling cancer for the last year and a half, and it’s significantly progressed in the last month. he has been admitted into hospice, so i’ll be stepping back a bit from content again.
