I’m reposting this so more people know about BallxPit. This game fucking slaps I’m obsessed.

BallxPit is a damn fun roguelite. I’m addicted. Devolver Digital knows how to pick em.

Between the numerous recastings, the kill-me-boredom of Ciri’s storyline, and the fact it’s been two and a half years since S3, the latest season of The Witcher is Very Not Good. I saw reviews saying it was as good as S1, but we’re halfway through and so far it’s the weakest season by a gap.

Did not expect #Dispatch to crank the horny meter up in episode 4 but I’m here for it. This game’s tone keeps reminding me of Invincible in all the best ways

Despite a limp ending, #TheOuterWorlds2 is a fantastic sequel that mostly fulfills the promise of an Obsidian RPG. Crazy weapons. Satisfying combat. Deep role playing. A lovable party of characters. A reactive world. But the real surprise was how dense its world building is. I love this game.

Death to Chronos, baby!

The first two episodes of #Dispatch are excellent. Surprised there wasn’t more of a push around Telltale’s unofficial comeback though. The release snuck up on me!

Gen V stuck the landing with its Season 2 Finale. Fantastic villain. Great arcs. My issue is that’s definitely required reading for the final season of the boys - and I was really hoping it wouldn’t be.

#TheTraitors is always good, but this season with celebrities is the worst UK one by far. The biggest issue is the edit’s so awkward so the roundtables don’t make sense. I get they’ve gotta condense a 2hr debate into 10 minutes, but it’s a BBC show ON the BBC. Add 5 minutes so you can see the logic!

Hades 2 is great but I’m not convinced the 1 million currencies was the way to go

Today I learned that Geoff Keighley was one of the cameos in the Muppets Haunted Mansion.

I’ve seen reviews comment on Hades 2’s plot as being a bit rubbish and edgy and maybe I’m just early game but is there some big revelation coming that changes the story of the game? The game’s about killing Chronos while meeting cool Greek characters. I feel like I got what I paid for 🤷

On a second pass on this Resident Evil 7 video and feels like I’m more critical of it than I was of RE6. This is because Resident Evil 7 is an excellent RE game with a crap final third. If I order a steak and it’s amazing but dessert is lacklustre, that’ll stand out. (RE7) 1/2

#Peacemaker finale was lovely in a lot of ways and weird in a lot of others. The reveal of what the DCU is working toward is exciting - but the whole season didn’t feel as cohesive as the first.

Recommendation for new Ghost of Yotei players - do the Oni first. The Kitsune mission chain is fucking dire and is killing a lot of what I like about the game

Ghost of Yotei’s world is a dream to explore. It feels reactive and meaningful. Shame the main story feels like it’s bottled away from all of that. This had the potential to be a GOTY contender if it was more ambitious.
