I haven’t had health insurance for a long time. Fortunately a nonprofit hospital helps me with some major health challenges. Many doctors sent me to collections - a cold inhumane part of our society. It needs to change.

I can tell you from having no insurance, you’ll find some helpful places out there but many will not even make an appointment if you don’t have insurance. I’ve had to beg and plead to get the little care I have for very serious health conditions.

Just to be able to see clearly, read most things, make out a face, find objects in the house, not be blinded by outdoor light/instore lights, be able to read webpages, see my music. Cataract surgery coming up, but I’ve got so much retinopathy damage it may only help a little temporarily.

These days, depression does its damndest to pull me under. So many things out of my control health wise that I question why do I keep fighting. That question gets harder some days than others to answer.
