We humans have used different things to fill the role of "money" throughout recorded history. In no particular order: from barter, to rai stones, to glass beads, to feathers, salt, grain, teeth, sea shells, to gold and silver, to paper money to digital money like the numbers in your bank account.

At some point we'll all just be incentivized to use neutral protocols that doesn't see who you are, where you're from, who you want to love, or what you're into. This goes for money and even extends to social media platforms.

I see lots of posts today calling out for people to make calls regarding Visa, Stripe, PayPal etc again. I think a better idea is to just start paying each other with money they can't stop. This literally already exists today. We don't have to bother asking for permission anymore.

That was honestly better than I had expected. I'm gonna assume and hope that frens that liked my last post at least appreciate what I'm trying to talk about. Having a hard money is a human right. No one should arbitrarily devalue your life and work by just printing more money. That's my main point.

I wish we had polls here. I wonder how many people that read my ramblings either have no clue or interest in the topic, disagree, or think they sound even somewhat agreeable o.=.o

This also circles back to the issues furries are having with payment processors not wanting platforms to facilitate us buying/selling nsfw products. There is control over payment processing. There is also an alternative that lets us transact with each other without anyone's permission!

The problem with people that say "the problem with capitalism is that it enables overconsumption" is that they don't see the connection that the money is broken and people can't save their money and so they have to keep spending and keep consuming.

Man. Nothing tilts me or makes me lose confidence faster and harder than stuttering too much and just not being able to say what I want and how I want... Makes me feel so stupid sometimes and just makes me not wanna talk anymore... I've heard stories where it just stops for some people...

All these companies are at the mercy of Visa/Mastercard. If they don't comply then they don't have a business anymore. It's not about Itch being "weak" or "bad". It's not their fault. What we need is a reliable way to make payments to each other with no third party intermediary. This exists today.

This is the inevitable outcome when you still require someone else's permission to transact with one another. The solution already exists.
