There’s a PEACEFUL protest happening in Ghana yet the Police with backing from the government are rounding up protesters for no reason, calling them suspects, cramming them up into buses to police stations and beating them!! It’s being heavily talked about on twitter but I need y’all to be aware!!

The government has dispatched the police in fully capacity to harass and arrest these protestors!! Protestors are being held in custody, beaten and their phones seized and so cannot be reached!! Please help us amplify this!!!!

Ghanaian citizens are lawfully and peacefully protesting the poor state of the country and standard of living, lawlessness and lack of accountability from the government and the oppression of citizens ESPECIALLY the queer community and other marginalized groups. Ghana is very unsafe for all!!!

Okie so I'll talk a little bit about my art. I've been a performance poet for 9 years and for the past 3 I've been experimenting with blurring the lines between music and poetry and it all made sense to me when I began to do this through the lens of the traditions of my people.
