@mun-cs.bsky.social became a department in 1978 with 7 faculty and 2 support staff. Today, the Computer Science department has 21 faculty and lecturers, 12 staff and hundreds of grad and undergrad students, who research topics like how to use AI models, build prosthetic limbs, and build robots. 🤖

We hosted our annual Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) as part of Memorial’s Research Week yesterday afternoon, where 22 graduate students in the faculty competed! Five emerged victorious from the competition – congratulations to our winners and all presenters!
