I am fortunate enough to be able to go to the premiere of The Mandalorian and Grogu on *Wednesday*. Less than 48 hours remaining!!! I'm so excited, and I just can't hide it!

One of my favorite special effects in modern Star Wars is whenever you see a ship exiting hyperspace. The visual spectacle of transitioning from insane speed into near stand-still will never not be thrilling.

Just had a look through my physical media collection of Star Wars and noticed that I was missing the 4K steel books for The Mandalorian season 1 and 2, so I went ahead and ordered those. However, Skeleton Crew, Andor S2 and The Acolyte are missing 4K Steelbook releases, and that annoys me. 😡

Here's a Star Wars hot take: The Book of Boba Fett is actually pretty good. It won't win any awards, but it's thoroughly entertaining all the way through; the flashback scenes are great, the Mando scenes are great, Fennec Shand is great, the last battle is great, Krrsantan is great.

Is Revenge of the 5th still a thing, or did we stop doing that?

Spent this May the 4th finishing up the LEGO Razor Crest I bought years ago. Seemed fitting now that there's only two weeks until The Mandalorian and Grogu premieres.

Not a surprise considering this game is amazing already, and it's only Early Access. Anyone who has an itch that Helldivers 2, Deep Rock Galactic or Left 4 Dead used to scratch, this one is a must-try!

I spent all day yesterday playing the new game #FarFarWest. As someone who really enjoyed DRG, this is scratching that same itch of 4-player co-op shenanigans with challenge, humor, and rock solid gunplay. I can definitely recommend it to anyone who's looking for a new game to play with their mates.

While I appreciate DR writing about the EU age verification app, couldn't they AT LEAST have used a different picture for Ursula Von Der Leyen? That picture is going to haunt my dreams for weeks.

This last week and a half I've been playing Timberborn. A city builder/survival game that is all about terraforming the environment to move water around to improve living conditions for trees and crops. It's one of those games you can start one afternoon and then it's suddenly 3 in the morning! 🤯

The alien machine in "War Machine" is so poorly designed it's impressive. Firstly, it's incredibly slow for a bipedal vehicle, and secondly why would you give it a scanner visible to the naked eye? It makes it so easy to avoid. And why would it highlight its next target with a red laser? 1/

Been spending the last couple of days playing Death Stranding 2 for PC, and so far, it feels like more Death Stranding 1, but more refined, with a better UI, new tools, and more ways to get around. There's now also a monorail and a ship that can teleport from place to place. Quite neat.

Two weeks ago Oracle fired 30,000 people because they couldn't get funding for AI data centers, and yesterday OpenAI took the axe to their video generator Sora. This is just the beginning of the AI bubble exploding with the intensity of a 1000 supernovas, and the consequences are going to be wild.

Why aren't we covering all the thousands of parking lots across Europe with solar panels? It provides shade during the summer, cover during rainy days, it provides free energy from sunup to sundown, and it's space efficient because it doesn't cover farmland or forest. It's a win-win-win.

This whole crisis about oil prices just shows how we haven't learned a god damned thing in the last 30 years about climate change, global logistics, and single-point-of-failure dependencies. Had we invested in solar and wind more, we wouldn't be in this predicament now. Just saying...

We're in the 3rd month of 2026, and I think it's safe to say that Linux is starting to gain some serious momentum. 2026 might not become the "Year of Linux", but it's actually well on the way to become the year where Linux is taking over a serious chunk of Windows' dominance on the PC market.

I am still looking around for viable alternatives for Discord in case it decides to implode under its C-suite's density. @fluxer.app (open source, Swedish) and @stoat.chat (open source, English) look pretty good, even if they are still in beta at the moment. Anyone got any experience with them?

I have, after 7 long and loyal years, decided to cancel my Nitro subscription at @discord.com because of their intention to implement highly insecure "age verification" systems in order to do anything THEY deem "adult" on their platform going forward.

One of my favourite kinds of videos to watch on YouTube these days is streamers and YouTubers trying out #Warframe for the first time and getting their minds blown by how fantastic it is. I've seen probably 20 or so different people so far, and they're all great fun to watch.

One of the few sacrifices you have to make when switching from Windows to Linux is that video games with aggressive anti-cheat systems become unavailable. I don't play any of those, so no big deal for me personally, but it does mean that a HUGE swath of gamers literally can't make the switch.

If I was a world-class athlete (and I am definitely not), and I was slated to participate the Olympic Games or the World Cup in the US this year, I would have MASSIVE reservations about going, especially with this level of unrest. You could get randomly deported or shot on the open street!

I played Assassin's Creed Valhalla almost every day from Dec 22 to Jan 10, and rolled credits after over 100 hours in the game, so I think I can confidently say that this game is.... too big for its own good. Too bloated, and too much faff and fluff and filler.
