Sad news today that Peter Paetzold who ran the Hamburg Beatles tours has passed aged 75. Peter was a marvellous guide & we discovered we had many musical loves besides the Fabs in common. He said as we parted ‘let’s keep in touch’ which we occasionally did.

Think Blue Eyed Boy only ever got a full page the week after the Worthington Cup Final in 2002. That was the day I met Lesley again after 20 years.

Jurie Snyman Accrington’s brilliant South African pro who made 153 not out yesterday including 13 fours and 13 sixes. He added 107 with 55 year old last man Damien Clarke. Damien’s contribution -a single! We still lost but it was very Stokes/Leachesque. Over 1,000 runs for Accy this season.
