Not sure what #Keychron did but the Q1 Max's Bluetooth is the best I have ever used on a keyboard, I don't even notice that it's Bluetooth and not 1000hz wireless. Sure it's only 90hz, but that's still damn impressive for what historically is a nasty connection for typing.

Yeah so looks like about 50% of my issue was related to the #UDMP but even with a higher end #pfSense firewall I still can't get the torrents to work reliably, after a few minutes traffic just starts dropping. So it's an ISP level issue, either intentional, or maybe something is wrong.

OK nevermind, packet loss issues are back, I think something about having this many active connections is making my fiber provider do some weird crap and drop packets.

Home network is back on pfSense, and what do ya know, packet loss and latency issues are all gone even with torrents running. This is true with so much in tech, but there really is more than meets the eye with stuff like this.

@lawrencesystems.com You ever tried to do testing with Unifi gear in terms of number of simultaneous connections? Diagnosing an issue with mine where anytime I go above 10k in the conntrack -C output, I get latency and packet loss issues.

Anyone else out here using a #UDMP from #Unifi and have a lot of torrents and the like running on it? If so do you see any stability issues? Ideally, SSH into it and check conntrack -C to see the total connections being tracked. If you're above 11k let me know.

Discovered an odd issue with my Unifi Dream Machine Pro #UDMP. I was noticing a ton of packet loss and high latency alerts coming from it, took some digging, but I don't think this thing can handle very many simultaneous connections. I am a big seeder for a lot of Linux ISOs (but like actually).

Trying my trust old Model M for a day again, we'll see how this goes, might have missed this. Other switches have their ups for sure but something about the sound of a Model M is just incredibly special.

After cleaning the keyboard, got the new #Kailh #BoxWhiteOwls installed and I am loving them. After nearly a week with them I do think I prefer them over the Jades. It took some getting used to to type a bit lighter, but my hands feel better and I do think it's faster.

So I finally managed to get vmaf_cuda working in Docker on WSL with proper CUDA acceleration for doing comparisons. Was able to compare 2 x 10 minute videos I had (3440x1440) in only 2 minutes, would have taken hours with CPU based vmaf. Incredible.

Kailh Box White Owls installed and so far loving them, lighter than the Jades I had before, the sound is better and deeper, and I think I am actually a bit faster on them already despite not being used to them yet. Probably going to order another set to swap for my other board I use.

I am honestly still incredibly impressed with #Immich search results, they're so much better than any other photos app I have used. I still am annoyed that you can't sort (not filter) by date, but aside from that it's amazing.

OK @immichapp.bsky.social is actually pretty amazing. I know it's been around for a while, but I never got around to using it as my core photos app. I genuinely like it better than Google Photos and it's self hosted. Usually those 2 things don't come together.

#Unifi new update is great, except that it's broken as hell, even for Early Access lol. My #UDMP management interface crashes about 10 times a day now, more if I'm using it a lot. And then my Content Filter policies disappear randomly, while still being active. And to make it all better...

Anyone else notice bad IP information for DNS queries to costco.com (and some other sites) coming from Cloudflare today? Several sites had unroutable IPs given for their DNS lookups, Google, Quad9, etc... were all fine and passed the right address.

Ubiquiti #Unifi should really consider adding quick toggles to rules in their Policy Engine page. It is a bit annoying to have to click Manage and then checkmark a rule to disable it, and it'd also be nice to drag and drop rules without having to click "Reorder". Just convenience things.
