One of the oddest parts of the whole Moda Renovation saga is that Dundon hasn't outlined what the $600mil renovation will even do. Obviously a blank check to an out of state billionaire would be unpopular, it's ownerships job to explain how this helps Portland fans. What needs to be renovated???

Devastating news about Zane, the inimitable local reporter and friend to many of us. There's a hole in the community that can't be filled. I'm grateful to have been on the receiving end of his jestful curiosity many times, read his stories, and of course, watch him work a karaoke crowd. RIP buddy.

I'll never forget Zane's karaoke rendition of "Margaritaville" or his dedication to calling people "___ Man": "Newspaper man," "Union man" (When I used to work for a union), "Baseball man" (about a Portland Pickle), etc. A clever writer and a thoughtful reporter. You'll be dearly missed Zane.

I may be in the minority of lefties who think the Blazers leaving would be a disaster for the city. But what
@billoram.bsky.social
leaves out is a city wide vote on “give the Blazers $500mil” would lose massively. There’s no silent majority here. Our politicians need to negotiate a better deal.
