I have done battle against an invasive in my yard and I think for today it was a draw. I think I found the main root (which is 3 feet shorter than it was) but I went far beyond my capacity and am not sure it hasn't already won At least it was mostly fun? Like dealing with tangled lights

Started in on a small tidying project and, one thing leading to another, start cleaning a small table with a toothbrush. The table was my late grandmother's; I thought she bought it in the late '70s and my mother was going to think it was OTT to clean it with a toothbrush.

I'm reading Prairie Fires, and I went into it knowing that everyone Ingalls and Ingalls-adjacent comes out looking bad, and I knew a fair amount about Rose. I'm still going omgwtf regularly about her because OH WOW.

The past couple of weeks at work have been a lot (providing data for a restructure and covering for a teammate on leave) and I've been way more scattered as a result BUT I have not worked more than a few minutes late, and that only once (vs last year when late-night work was semi-routine) 🎉

Getting to know Veronica (and her many many adorable kittens) has been a highlight of moving to bsky. She does amazing work fostering the most challenging kittens and has had an incredibly tough time since late 2024. (She also makes great soap!)

Tried it yesterday! Tastes as amazing as it smells and we ordered 4oz of decaf and 4oz of caf today (as well as 1oz of Strawberry Snap because that also sounds delicious). We have a new project to try a new flavor of tea every week for the next couple of months 🎉
