Genuinely miss the personal websites Internet Weirdos used to make. Stuff like David Gonterman's webcomics or ulillillia's website. Insane design and organization systems. Hell, even in old social media we used to be able to customize our LiveJournal and MySpace however we want!! BULLSHIT.

RSS feeds are vastly superior to algorithms and social media.

It's also a little disappointing, given how aware people were of it in the early days and what a huge draw it is, how little people realize that Bluesky being built on an open protocol means you don't have to "leave" to avoid Bluesky's moderation. You can just use a different appview and PDS.
