It all bothers me, but the video of the cold-blooded murder of Renee Good by an ICE agent who will face no consequences made me physically ill. Perhaps whatever replication of the Nuremberg trials that convenes in a decade or two will track him down and punish him. I feel like my heart has broken.

It only took 12 phone calls, most of which ended with no answer, but I finally spoke to someone at Social Security who understood my question. She dm'ed the person who was holding my claim AND gave me his name and phone number. By the time I called his office, the problem was fixed. I need a nap.

Last week I tried calling Social Security. A recording said there were technical difficulties and hung up. Today I was able to get in the queue. They called back 3 hours later. When I asked how to use Medicare if they don't send me my card by April 1, the rep put me on hold and I was disconnected.

In the past week, just walking around the neighborhood, I've seen robins, red-winged blackbirds,migrating ducks and geese, sandhill cranes, and a bald eagle. I love Spring.

I agree with others here that an intentional economic slowdown is called for. It has to be a change in habit, though, not a one day boycott or strike. It must be sustained. The challenge is making the action known. That's where a publicized boycott or strike has an advantage. We need a name.

We've seen this strategy before in Wisconsin, but on a smaller scale. Former governor Walker "dropped the bomb" on public institutions shortly after taking office. It only worked temporarily. We've done a lot to rebuild since 2011. Stand firm. Do not comply. Find small ways to say NO every day.

Remembering the residents of a large, New York City apartment building I worked at in the 1980s. Most were senior citizens. Quite a few had extended families wiped out during the Holocaust. One man had survived the camps. I'm certain they are all dead by now. They educated me. I will not forget.
