Nepal’s Department of Tourism is determined to enlarge its list of 8,000m peaks by adding six secondary summits on Kangchenjunga and Lhotse. However, this will not change international criteria or mountaineering history around the 14 highest peaks on Earth.

Every time I see stories of Tasmanian tiger’s revival these days, I can’t stop thinking of this haunting movie called The Hunter where a brooding Willem Defoe is tasked to find the last Tasmanian tiger’s DNA by a military biotech company. Highly recommend watching it, gripping and poignant!

戦史ファン御用達のOsprey社は、本当に「よくそこを!」という本を出すけど、これもその一冊。「Fortress Monasteries of the Himalayas Tibet, Ladakh, Nepal and Bhutan」、チベット仏教の広がりを受けヒマラヤにどんな城、要塞が作られたかという内容。買ってしまった。
