Clumsy, bold, and an optimist despite… My poetry is posted at thepoetryshack.blogspot.com
Usually, I rely on my calendar app. It keeps my schedule. It reminds me of appointments with doctors, coworkers, and friends. Today, though, it keeps showing Friday as Thursday. Do I need to delete and reinstall?

Some nights, Sad Songs and Waltzes is the greatest song Willie Nelson recorded. Some nights, it’s even more than that.

If you’ve never been much of an apartment dweller, you likely have no idea how greatly the fear of laundry night granting you no open machines can make or break your week. Tonight, free washers, free dryers. =whew=

It doesn’t matter what position I’m in or how old I grow, if the company needs some sucker to move forty three boxes of copier paper around outside when the heat’s in the 90s… …Yup, me. I’m the sucker.

I had to leave Passenger halfway through yesterday. The couple next to me took off their shoes, held conversations at normal volume, and played on their phones, including having Google loudly speak responses. As usual, they weren’t teenagers. They were a couple around 45 years old. =sigh=

On this day in 1985, The Goonies hit theaters. I’ve been annoyed by people who adore this shitty movie ever since. “You love movies and you don’t love Goonies?!? Maybe you just need to see it again. Let me get it started…”

Please don't forget D-day, 82 years ago. The largest seaborn assault in history. 10 thousand allied troops died on that one day as we scrabbled for a foot hold in Europe that eventually took us to Berlin and the absolute destruction of Hitler's Nazis.

Graham Platner is dead weight. Democrats can dick around with him like they did with Biden last election or they can take real action *now* and perhaps save the race. He’s nothing but bad news.

Okay, Democrats… Focus on the economy and, in a related manner, the war. Promote achievable fixes. Steer around culture war battles. You can’t rely on playing up what an evil incompetent President Trump is. People proved immune. Listen to your local folks and stay on message. This is the way.
