The gender marker was introduced as a paranoid reaction to the idea that it was possible to be unsure of someone's gender, and it will always be a mechanism for reprimanding those whose appearance doesn't meet expectations in line with what it says on the ID.

In all seriousness as much as I am worried about the internet as we know it I do see all these actions taken against age verification and digital id laws and it does make me feel a bit hopeful. Keep calling and writing your senators and representatives.

I’m gonna be honest with yall: is there any hope? It’s hard to remain hopeful when so much shit is going on. The uncertainty of age verification makes me wonder if I will even be able to post my art anymore. Someone please give me reason to keep my chin up.
