★★★★☆: Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman 📚 I had rather low expectations for this and I still find some of the RPG elements obnoxious. But the characters have grown on me.

Supergirl is one of my favorite characters. I’m so excited for the trailer and I don’t Cara’s what anyone says about that.

★★★★☆ Proven Guilty by Jim Butcher 📚 As usual for this series, it was a fun, quick read. I enjoyed this one more than the last two, probably because it was tighter, plot wise, and the strength of the supporting characters.

★★★☆☆ Superman (2025) 🍿 I’m not sure what to think about this one. I’m a huge Superman fan and while I liked the portrayal, the whole thing was superficial and sort of cheap. I liked the supporting cast overall and some of the humor was cute. Krypto was 🔥.

Cece crushed that National Anthem. She paced it perfectly.

★★★☆☆ Jurassic World Rebirth Some cool new dinosaurs, but utterly predictable. My wife and I enjoyed the first half hour predicting who would die and we were on the money. There were a couple of cool nods to the original though.

★★★☆☆ Captain America: Brave New World 🍿 I like Sam as Captain America. That’s about all I have to say about this one.

★★★★★ Wicked: For Good 🍿 I greatly enjoyed the movie! It made me feel feelings and think thinkings. As expected the music was amazing and the actors nailed their parts.

★★★★☆: KPop Demon Hunters 🍿 Finally got to watch this with the family and we all loved it. The music (most of it) was actually quite good and overall the movie was very creative.

★★★☆☆ Sphere by Michael Crichton 📚 What a frustrating book. The characters all grated me immensely. Even the main character. And the whole thing was much too long with a very unsatisfying ending. The narration on the audio book was good however.

★★★☆☆ Men in Black (1997) I introduced this to my son and he enjoyed it. I had forgotten some of its better lines. Overall the movie has held up well.

★★★☆☆ : The Inimitable Jeeves by P. G. Wodehouse 📚 This was my first time reading Wodehouse and I really enjoyed it. Wooster is hilarious and Jeeves is brilliant.

★★★★☆ Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning Enjoyed it very much! It was a nice way to laze away the Sunday. I have some qualms with the ending, but I’d recommend it if you want a silly and somewhat tense action adventure.

★★★★☆ Sentenced to Prism by Alan Dean Foster 📚 This book started slowly and I almost didn’t finish it. I started another one and came back to it and ended up enjoying it. The main character is less than likable but Azure and his Associative were far more interesting, particular their abilities.

★★★★☆ Murderbot (2025): Season 1 As a huge fan of the books, I was skeptical about this as a show. I didn’t love the performances of the humans but I really enjoyed what they did with this first series. Alexander Skarsgård is a really good Murderbot.

★★★☆☆ Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas 📚 I can certainly see the appeal the main character has with her audience, but I didn’t find it particularly well written. I may read the next one to see if the series gets better.

★★★★☆ (2025) Stick Season 1 An enjoyable first season. Santi was both like able and dunkable and to me he was the weakest character despite being the center of the show. Owen Wilson was really good as Stick. I’m looking forward to Season 2.
