I made a game this past week for the Brackeys Game Jam! Proud of how it all came together. Will hopefully get more time to work on it in the future. It's a mix between Peggle, Ballionaire, and Balatro. Tried my best to add charm to it by using mostly photographs :) tallbeard.itch.io/cookie-flicker

🔊 sound on I went down a rabbit hole lately creating a system in Godot to "speak" words by entering text. It's a bit crummy, but that's kind of the point. Was going for that Animal Crossing style. I need to record a better collection of phonemes for it to really shine, but I'm happy it works!

Pleased with how this is coming together! When you are too hot, you get fire icons and too cold shows the hitbox in blue. Target values slowly drift over time so you'll never be perfectly comfortable. Starting to feel like a real game! After some tweaks, I can add more mechanics #GameDev #Godot

This has been my exact mindset for music production this past decade. I've released nearly 100 albums of varying levels of weirdness. I can't say that it's made me rich or famous, but I've learned a lot and it has been fun, which is arguably more important. Maybe next decade is the GameDev era?

One thing I really struggle with is a way to share my music on social media. No place really allows you to drop an MP3 file in a post and making an empty video is boring. Anyway, here's a little loop I made last night that's got me vibing.

Also, my wife and I have five cats. So there are plenty of pictures to go around there too. I took a hiatus from social media starting a year ago. It's honestly weird to be posting again, but I'm looking forward to checking out new art and making new friends. 🥰
