Son of Frankenstein (1939): Wolf von Frankenstein (Basil Rathbone) is determined to prove the legitimacy of his father's scientific work. With the help of Ygor (Bela Lugosi), a grave robber, Wolf successfully reanimates the monster (Boris Karloff) his father originally brought back from the dead.

Dracula's Daughter: Although Count Dracula was destroyed by Van Helsing, who is now being tried for his murder, Dracula's daughter, the Countess Marya Zaleska (Gloria Holden), is still alive -- and her father's death has brought her no closer to eradicating her vampiric thirst for blood.

The Bride of Frankenstein (1935): Dr. Frankenstein and his monster both turn out to be alive, not killed as previously believed. When mad scientist Dr. Pretorius kidnaps Frankenstein's wife, he agrees to help him create a new creature, a woman (Elsa Lanchester), to be the mate of the monster.

Werewolf in London: While in Tibet researching a mysterious flower that purportedly takes its strength from the moon, botanist Wilfred Glendon is bitten by a strange creature. Back in London, A fellow scientist Dr. Yogami, reveals that the plant is the only known temporary antidote for werewolves.

The Raven (1935): A brilliant but deranged neurosurgeon (Lugosi) becomes obsessively fixated on a judge’s daughter. With the help of an escaped criminal (Karloff) whose face he has surgically deformed, the mad man lures her, her father, and her fiancé to his isolated castle for revenge.

The Black Cat (1934): A young American couple who become entangled with a Satan-worshipping architect (Boris Karloff) and a vengeful doctor (Bela Lugosi), setting the stage for a gruesome battle within the architect's Art Deco manor. The first film to star both Karloff and Lugosi.

King Kong (2005): Peter Jackson's remake of the 1933 original has Carl Denham (Jack Black), taking Ann Darrow (Naomi Watts) and Jack Driscoll (Adrien Brody) for a movie shoot at Skull Island, where natives, prehistoric creatures and Kong (Andy Serkis) run amok. Kong gets captured and taken to NYC.

King Kong (1976): A petroleum exploration expedition led an oil tycoon and a paleontologist and a female castaway comes to an isolated island and encounters native people who live in fear of a giant gorilla named Kong. Kong feels affectionate for the woman who was offered as a sacrifice.

Son of Kong: Carl Denham returns to Skull Island to find treasure and avoid bankruptcy after the destruction caused by King Kong, but he and a young woman named Hilda discover a friendly, 12-foot-tall white gorilla, "Little Kong," who rescues them from danger and helps them find a jeweled necklace.

King Kong (1933): Filmmaker Carl Denham takes actress Ann Darrow and a crew to Skull Island, where they encounter prehistoric creatures, natives and the colossal ape, Kong, who falls for Ann. Denham then captures the ape and brings him to New York City as the "Eighth Wonder of the World".

The Invisible Man (1933): Brilliant but unstable scientist, Jack Griffin (Claude Rains), develops a serum that turns him invisible but also drives him to megalomania and violence. He begins with harmless pranks in the local village, but his actions escalate to murder and attempts at world domination

Murders in the Rue Morgue (1932): Based off the Edgar Allan Poe short story, in 1845 Paris, mysterious Dr. Mirakle (Bela Lugosi) demonstrates his theories on evolution using his ape, Erik, at a carnival visited by medical student Dupin and his girlfriend, Camille.

A circus' beautiful trapeze artist Cleopatra (Olga Baclanova) agrees to marry Hans the leader of side-show performers, but Hans' deformed friends discover that she is only marrying him for his inheritance. So they seek revenge. A film so controversial it shortly led to the creation of MPAA ratings.

The Mummy (1932): Archaeologists accidentally revive the mummified Egyptian high priest Imhotep (Boris Karloff) by reading aloud from a sacred scroll. Posing as an Egyptian scholar named Ardath Bey, Imhotep searches for the reincarnation of his lost lover and will kill anyone standing in his way.

Dr: Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (1931): Dr. Henry Jekyll (Fredric March) believes that there are two distinct sides to men: a good side and an evil side. He experiments with a formula to separate human nature's good and evil sides, which results in his transformation into the violent ape-like Mr. Hyde.

Frankenstein (1931): The obsessed scientist Dr. Frankenstein attempts to reanimate life by assembling a creature from body parts of the recently deceased. Aided by his assistant Fritz, he succeeds bringing the monster (Boris Karloff) to life, but he escapes and wreaks havoc in the nearby village.

Dracula (1931): Transylvanian vampire Count Dracula (Bela Lugosi) bends Renfield, a naïve real estate agent to his will, then takes up residence at a London estate where he sleeps in his coffin by day and searches for potential victims by night. (Note: This is the English version by Universal)

The Phantom of the Opera (1925): An aspiring young opera singer discovers that she has a mysterious admirer intent on helping her become a star. This masked presence is Erik (Lon Chaney), also known as the Phantom, a horribly disfigured recluse who lives underneath the Paris Opera House.

The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1923), In 15th century Paris, Quasimodo (Lon Chaney) the deformed bell-ringer, falls in love with the gypsy Esmeralda, who is being targeted by the evil brother of the archdeacon of Notre Dame. Not as great as the Disney one but is closer to Victor Hugo's novel.

Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror (1922): The mysterious Count Orlok (Max Schreck) summons Thomas Hutter to his remote Transylvanian castle in the mountains and seeks to buy a house near Hutter and his wife, Ellen. Shortly after, Orlok reveals his true vampire nature. The oldest vampire film.

The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1920): At a carnival, two friends Francis and Alan encounter Dr. Caligari, and see him showing off his somnambulist, Cesare, a hypnotized man who the doctor claims he can see into the future. After Alan dies following the chilling prophecy, Cesare becomes #1 suspect.

When I do a Stephen King marathon, Stand By Me and Misery will be part of that list.

When Harry Met Sally: Harry (Billy Crystal) and Sally (Meg Ryan) are two people who meet at the end of college and debate whether men and women can be just friends. 10 years later they start thinking about sex, but both fear it could end their friendship. A classic Rob Reiner romantic comedy.

This is Spinal Tap II: The End Continues: After forty years after their breakthrough performance, the band Spinal Tap reunites for a reunion tour only to find out they are missing a drummer. Directed by Rob Reiner and starring Michael McKean, Harry Shearer and Christopher Guest reuniting as ST.

This is Spinal Tap: The funniest movie about rock n' roll, is a mockumentary film directed by Rob Reiner, about the English heavy metal band Spinal Tap, embarking their US tour with their new album, "Smell the Glove". Things go south once a filmmaker (Reiner) notices things will not go as planned.

Currently watching the sequel to This is Spinal Tap.

Just got done seeing Knights of Guinevere and it was great! I hope the rest of the series turns out as good as The Owl House.

The Long Walk: From Stephen King, A group of young men compete in a brutal annual contest where they must keep walking above a set pace- or they will face execution. It comes from one of King's novels under the pseudonym Richard Bachman of which he wrote Rage. Pretty much a mixed reaction after CK.

Him (2025): Produced by Get Out director Jordan Peele, a young quarterback gets injured from a deranged fan and goes under training from his idol (Marlon Wayans) a champion whose training causes physical trauma on him and it all spirals down a rabbit hole that he is not ready for.

Hamilton (2020): The taped live performance of Hamilton: The Musical on Broadway that people saw on Disney+ when the pandemic hit and now has made it to the big screen in 2025. Alexander Hamilton (Lin-Manuel Miranda), first secretary of the treasury, blends hip-hop, jazz, and R&B in this musical.

Not sure what's next. I mean its almost Halloween so maybe I should do a marathon of classic horror movies.

LOTR: War of the Rohirrim: Years before The Lord of the Rings, King Helm's daughter, Hera, must defend Rohan from a vengeance-fueled attack by the Dunlending noble Wulf after Helm unintentionally kills Wulf's father. Decent animation, lackluster writing and forgettable characters.
