This Hyacinth Orchid Dipodium variegatum (blooming now in Beechmont) gets most of its carbs from Eucalypts, via the mycorrhizal fungi Russula. A lovely example of trees sharing, orchids stealing, and fungi simply hedging their bets... depending on how you look at it 😜
