Last week’s gigs at The Leadmill marked the final flourish for my trusty stage piano steed, the Kawai MP9000. She has quite literally been all over the world with me, mostly for good reason, but I’m still not quite sure why I took her to SXSW with me in 2009 given the enormous faff and cost.

I’ve often felt a little FOMO about not being a child of the 60’s and 70’s. Finding this odd little keepsake of my gran’s has helped assuage that, temporarily at least! Russian salad with your toast to the Queen, anyone?
