It's come together pretty well I think. Now to simply model the rest of the rest of the pilot. It's a multipurpose helmet for fixed wing and rotary craft operators. The combination headphone cups/mounting brackets are rather uncomfortable if you have big cat ears, so some pilots remove them.

Everyone loves pilot rescue missions, right? Mildly annoyed that the dubiously-printable adjustment knob is covered up by the helmet's forehead protector but that's just a reason to use these on more than one model. When I finish it. Leonidas sweep (my other creatures are so neglected lol)

More tinkering; a SPYNX microgunner wearing an Arsenal Cloak and the microgun in two configurations. The barrels don't spin; it's just three bricks of stacked bullets hooked to a battery and some scary glowy bits. This one needs way more time in the oven. I now have time off. Exciting times ahead.

Work continues. Mostly complete really, just needs a few bits and bobs and also an orky tank kommanda.

I was seized by the Spirit of da Waaagh and entered a flow state, breaking out this model I got ages ago and gluing bits and bobs to it. Still not done but I'm happy with the night's work.

Happy Thanksgiving. The turkey is already cooking, so here's something else with the texture of uncooked poultry. SPYNX Securities is the third and strangest faction; a bunch of assassins with extensive cybernetic augmentation. The long coat mini is on cults/MMF for free. I fucking love Aeon Flux.

A curious case of an ancient design being adapted into a utility gun for Railway Union Crews, who often have to operate in distant provinces and fight off bandits as a matter of course.

Haomao gyrogun variants; a weird riveted-together drum magazine and what's very likely the "original" configuration of the weapon in a short rifle configuration instead of the rocket-spitting punch dagger they've since mangled it into. The lip on the barrel screams "pirate cannon" to me, lol.

I'd say I'm trying to paint my backlog but in reality I just got these guys in the mail from the Sun Rot kickstarter so if anything I'm trying to prevent the backlog from growing. (Do not ask how large it is.) Anyways I love this little astrologer. I want to hit his orb with some glosscoat next.

It occurred to me that just posting model renders with cryptic descriptions of the world they inhabit won't really explain anything. So instead here's a shot off the workbench with no explanation besides "what if cat, but big??? with gun???" That's like 95% of my work, by the way. It's all cats.

Man I love Battletech combined arms, especially because it gives me an excuse to buy all kinds of tiny vehicles to piece together into motor/mech infantry units. The game really shines with a diversity of toys, I think.

An Access Technician does a gear check on her way to a staging bay accompanied by her assigned C4T. Rather than stow it in the rack folded at her hip, she lets it run free so it can freely observe the world (if from a somewhat lower vantage point). Good training is vital for a partnership like this.
