Short‐Read Pangenomes and Their Potential Utility in Population and Conservation Genomics
As a collection of all the genetic variants in the gene pool, the pangenome is a concept that will become fundamental to conservation genomic studies. Unfortunately, most pangenomic approaches develo...

The administration has “proposed a rule change that would essentially prohibit only actions that directly hurt or kill actual animals, not the habitats they rely on. If finalized, the change could make it easier to log, mine and build on lands that endangered species need to thrive.” 🌱🐋🧪🌎

Destroying endangered species' habitat wouldn't count as 'harm' under proposed Trump rule
The Trump administration is reinterpreting a key word in the Endangered Species Act that could have big consequences for the habitats of species at risk.
