In my stints of organizing some of the most dedicated people to the cause were religious people who felt compelled to the right thing through their faith. Our group held meetings at a Quaker Hall and our actions were often coordinated with local churches and the UU.

They’re planning on building a detention center for migrants in the middle of the fetid swamps of Florida. If you think this is something new, the first internment camp they sent me and my family to in 1942 was a barbed wire prison called Rohwer. It was located in the swamps of Arkansas.

Aggregating and reporting these data about public health indeed helps efficiently target interventions. Just as individual health assessment helps focus strategies to keep you well. You can’t treat it if you don’t know about it.
