I Congreso Internacional de Filosofía de la Actividad Física, el Deporte y el Juego PRESENTATION The Spanish Association for the Philosophy of Sport (AEFD), in collaboration with the Faculty of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences (FCAFE), the Departments of Physical and Sports Education and Philosophy, and the AFES and ETIDEMO Research Groups of the University of Valencia, is organizing the 1st International Congress on the Philosophy of Physical Activity, Sport, and Play. The event will take place at the Faculty of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences of the University of Valencia from May 27 to 29, 2026. Founded in 2013 to promote the study of sport as a philosophical phenomenon, AEFD sees this congress as crucial in its commitment to strengthen dialogue among philosophy, physical activity, sport, and play as fundamental cultural, ethical, and social expressions of our time. The event aims to bring together professors, researchers, professionals, and students from diverse disciplines to reflect on the role of physical, sporting, and playful practice in contemporary society. Its goal is to facilitate an international and interdisciplinary meeting space that fosters new theoretical and practical perspectives. The thematic areas of the congress include ethics and values in sport (fair play, doping, inclusion, and justice); the social, cultural, and political dimensions of sporting activities (identity, globalization, power, and institutionalization); the aesthetic, playful, and phenomenological experience of the moving body; epistemology and knowledge in sporting practices; and the challenges posed by technology, biotechnology, and transhumanism. This broad framework seeks to promote philosophical debate and interdisciplinary exchange between specialists and young researchers, fostering a deeper understanding of the meaning of physical activity, sport, and play. https://esdeveniments.uv.es/141344/detail/i-congreso-internacional-de-filosofia-de-la-actividad-fisica-el-deporte-y-el-juego.html
