For three years, Jeromy Desjarlais from the Muskowekwan First Nation in Saskatchewan has produced his own documentaries under the name No Budget Films. Next summer, he plans to create a film on MMIW that will include an all Indigenous production staff.

Earlier this month I celebrated 10 years of human rights work at the Canadian Museum For Human Rights. It was an honour to speak on a panel about how I once protested the museum and now walk with them frequently. Plus getting interviewed by @strombo.bsky.social was pretty damn awesome too 🌟

Winnipeg is ground zero for community safety responses. It's been inspiring to watch the rise of bear clan, mama bear clan, sabe peace Walkers and an honour to be involved in the development of the Community Safety Hosts in Winnipeg too who focus on de escalation and community referrals!
