I would really love to see TTRPGs also released as an epub so I can read it on my phone in dark mode when I'm curled up from a migraine. Most TTRPG pdfs aren't easily viewed on phones, and it's an accessibility issue rarely discussed. And there are more applications for epubs than my migraine days.

I'm so lucky to be in three #ttrpg groups. Each brings different things I like. Tonight's group is all family–most are experiencing their first campaign ever. Their questions bring me so much inspiration for world building, I love it. And they like it, too!

I don't use AI in my worldbuilding. My maps don't look fancy, but I like them and I know _why_ each hex is the way it is.

Things that I miss in the #dnd #dnd2024 books so far (part 2). How long is a rope? Used to be 50 feet, now it's <undefined>. Also, it's just rope now; no longer going fancy by buying silk rope.

Last night we had our 22nd weekly session playing #dnd5e in the Sunken Isles setting (by Ghostfire Gaming). We have a lot of fun and have just reached level 5, but so far we are still a bit at a loss for how to even start fighting the bbeg. I guess we need to look harder 🔭

Things that I miss in the #dnd #dnd2024 books so far: Lists of deities in the PHB (or DMG) Mapping guidance on continent, kingdom, and province scale. It was already minimal in the 5e DMG but it is almost completely gone now. If mapping isn't important, why add the #Greyhawk maps to the book?

Since #dnd replaced Shield proficiency by Armor Training, this is a perfect time to introduce a new *Shield proficiency* that allows you to use a shield for attacking. #shieldproficiency

A few years ago I knew 0 people that were interested in TTRPGs. My new-years resolution was to try find a group. Now I play in 3 groups regularly and 2 incidentally. At my in-law's christmas dinner there were all 6 players of one group, and my niece's new girlfriend said 'wait, you play TTRPGs too?'

I really don't like running full D&D campaigns from a book. How do you handle it if you mess up some details that later come haunting you? Retcon? Create your own version of the story? Then I'd rather do that from the start anyways.
