ENTSOE has a dry sense a humour. Headline: Germany splitting their bidding zone into 5 (!) saves €339 million/year, with payback in 4 to 8yrs. Punchline: The Netherlands splitting in two saves €9mill/year; with ROI in 6 to ... 1240 years! ENTSOE could not possibly comment which TSOs should pick.

Note the mysterious 32% #electrification KPI! For reference, the Electrification Alliance were calling for a legally-binding target of 35% by 2030. This falls short but still a major improvement on what came before. What's not clear to me yet is the weight behind a "KPI". Just comms or real? 🔌💡
