I finished reading Six of Crows and Crooked Kingdom, and I must say I fully understand the hype now. 🐦‍⬛

Lee Cronin's The Mummy was decent, but was really just an Evil Dead x The Exorcist hybrid with an Egyptian twist. May Calamawy was a highlight though!

Today I finished reading Local Gods by @melindasalisbury.com (out in August) and it was utterly stunning. An A24 folk horror film in the form of a YA novel, with beautiful, hazy and shimmering prose and a sense of creeping dread. Just amazing!! 🦉 #booksky
