Taking a break from the vacation and fair food to enjoy a 3 course meal at everyone's favorite swedish restaurant.

I got back from my vacation to be greeted by the yearly funfair in my town. They'll be there for more than a month and I intend on trying all their food uwu What's your favorite fair snack?

Visiting Alsace/Strasbourg really changed my perception of France (which was mostly built on visiting Paris a few times). It was surprisingly nice. It makes me wanna check other spots like Bretagne or Provence.

And the food was great too! Pretty much everything I like, haha. Simple but good and with high quality ingredients. Sauerkraut is definitely something to have there. Flammekueche as well. And don't get me started on the cheeses and wines ~

There were a lot of amazing sites to look at. Too many to show in a single Bluesky post. The architecture was all over amazing, even random people's houses are so pretty. We weren't lucky with the weather but that didn't stop us from visiting all 4 corners of the city.

I brought a little treasure back from Strasbourg ~

Days 2 in Strasbourg was great. We visited some of the oldest wine caves in the world, one where they kept the oldest white wine known. Also look at the size of those barrels xD The architecture is impressive, with even a massive cathedral in the center of town.

First day in Strasbourg is over! We arrived pretty late during the day so we haven't seen much of it yet. But the food has been great and let's be honest when you have an appetite like mine, that's already half the job done.

On my way to France. Most of the way is through Germany so we stopped for food. It was hard finding a place open. Happy unification day to the Germans. Also driving at 160kmh/100mph on the Autobahn and still seeing people blitz past us is crazy.

I've very very rarely been to France, besides Paris which I've seen a few times. I've never experienced the *real* France. This year's gonna be Alsace but I wanna visit other spots down the line. Especially Bretagne 👀

How I'm expecting visiting France while speaking perfect French will go:

One more week and I'll go on vacation! I'll stay a few days in Strasbourg (Alsace - France). There are a few things I wanna see and taste: the wine road, Colmar, Riesling, choucroute, maybe even the Black Forest if I cross the border. If you're from around there and have recommendations hmu.

I'm gonna turn 30 in January and I am not ready yet. How do you even cope up with that?!

In other news, I'm gonna get back to work, so back on the trains, this Thursday. I've been on the sideline for a week following an altercation I had with a... colleague (from another station, taking the train as a passenger). And it's fair to say I am not feeling serene about all this.

They're now gonna need repotting and a support to stay up right. They're growing so fast!
