I love books... I love reading... But how many times have you had a book in which you already know how it ends, and because of that, you cannot bring yourself to finish reading it? You read up to that ONE POINT, then put it down, because as long as you don't finish it... nothing bad happens. :-)

There was this bookstore I remember in San Diego, years ago... heck, it might still be there. They sold used books, but most of that was on the second floor. On the first floor was a coffee shop where, after you made your selection, or if you wanted to kick the tires, you could read it.

I still enjoy sitting and doing some work in a bookstore. Granted, they are not as available as they used to be. Bakersfield used to have about five or six, but now we have Barnes and Noble. And I think that is it. I miss the privately owned bookstore that always had a pot of coffee ready.

Just finishing reading a book by Kathleen Kline called My Life In The Dark: A Marriage Built on Lies. A very good book, certainly one that will hold your interest. Suggest it for anyone who likes a memoir-style book about a person who fights to get her life back.
